Anyone looking for a turntable for the first time ends up on forums where people have been contradicting each other for ten years, or on shop pages that think everything is equally wonderful. Neither helps you choose.
So the guides here start with a decision you really have to make. First how you listen and what your room can take, and only then which purchase fits. That way you buy well once instead of half well twice.

We write about choices, not test reports. Where we give a verdict, it is reasoning based on how the technology works and what most people need at home.
The site was written in Dutch first. The English guides are translations of the Dutch ones, and the shops and prices they mention are mostly Dutch.
